Course Description
The Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulatory requirements (CFR 29 1910. 1030) for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Course topics include information on preventing and protecting yourself from exposure to bloodborne pathogens. The course also covers how to act appropriately if an exposure does occur, how to clean up after an exposure, and how to properly report the bloodborne pathogens exposure.
Intended Audience
The Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed specifically for the workplace/health and safety market who must be trained annually in bloodborne pathogens to comply with OSHA regulations. Typical enrollees are workplace personnel in settings such as industry and manufacturing, fortune 1500 companies, occupational health, property management, hospitality, health and fitness staff, childcare workers, maintenance workers, public health staff, tattoo artists, security, state correctional facilities, and more.
